About
DCEN is a group of Dublin-based volunteers who are dedicated to the creation of a cleaner and greener Dublin. We believe that community action is vital for a sustainable city, and we aim to facilitate everyone in Dublin to be the change they want to see in their community.
We aim to achieve this by;

Connecting people through local events and gatherings

Providing an online space for discussion

Developing a comprehensive calendar of green events and volunteer opportunities in Dublin

Developing a comprehensive list of active environmental groups and initiatives in Dublin

Facilitating local grassroots action

Providing opportunities for creating top-down change through the local County Council via the Dublin City Public Participation Network.

To engage people within communities to make a difference on the ground, while providing knowledge and experience to make further change on government level.
To create a city that provides a healthy environment for humans, plants and animals, contains a vibrant eco-system, and that will guide and inspire other areas in Ireland.
To sustain a network of existing individuals and groups who share this vision.
